The Project
Meadowood Manor occupies a commanding position on the edge of the Cheshire plain, with views extending to the Welsh hills on clear days. The clients wanted a home of genuine scale and presence — something that would read as a manor house in the landscape, but speak entirely in the language of contemporary architecture. The building is anchored by a central stone core, from which two glazed wings extend to embrace the garden. The interiors were designed in close collaboration with our interior design team, with a palette of natural stone, dark-stained oak and hand-finished plaster throughout.
The Client's Vision
"A family seat for generations — a home with the presence and permanence of a traditional manor, but designed and built entirely for the way a modern family lives. Scale, light and a strong relationship with the surrounding farmland were the guiding principles."

Architecture
Meadowood Manor is designed around a clear architectural idea — one that responds to the site, the brief and the landscape in equal measure. Every elevation, every proportion, every opening has been considered as part of a coherent whole.

Materials
The material palette was selected for its longevity, its beauty and its relationship to the surrounding landscape. Cheshire sandstone, Structural glass, Dark-stained oak — each chosen to age gracefully and to speak honestly of the craft behind the building.

At 11,200 sq ft, Meadowood Manor is specified to the highest standard throughout. Every fitting, every finish and every system has been selected with the same care and precision as the architecture itself.
